Dental Head
Phantom

For dental x-ray evaluations
and other applications

Model 606

Features:
Access into the mouth cavity
Can be used with x-ray, panormic x-ray and CT
X-ray dental film placement
Dosimetry in different organs and tissues
Can be modified to accept customer supplied natural teeth

The Model 606 Dental Head Phantom mimics an average adult male head in size, structure and composition.

The phantom is made from proprietary epoxy based tissue analogs for brain, bone, spinal cord, vertebral disks, tooth enamel and soft tissues. The analogs accurately mimic the x-ray attenuation properties of actual human tissues within 1% for both CT and Therapy energy ranges (50 keV ¨C 25 MeV).

The Phantom includes brain, all bony anatomy with cortical and trabecular separation, larynx, trachea, sinus, nasal cavities and teeth with dentine, enamel and root structure. An articulating lower jaw with removable tongue enables easy access to the mouth cavity for x-ray dental film placement as well as dosimetry in different organs and tissues.

The Dental Head Phantom is ideal for any x-ray based imaging application such as cone beam CT or panoramic radiography common to most dental practices.

The model 606 can also be used with various detectors for accurate dose measurements in diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy applications.
