Norfolk, Virginia (April 28, 2008) CIRS reveals the Model 711-HN Dental & Diagnostic
Head Phantom; it’s most realistic maxillofacial phantom for dental cone beam CT
and panoramic X-ray.

The Model 711-HN includes detailed 3D anthropomorphic anatomy of the brain,
bone, larynx, trachea, sinus and nasal cavities and teeth.  Details include
cortical and trabecular distinction within the bone; separate dentine,
enamel and root structure within the teeth, including the nerve; and fully
open sinus cavities.  The tissue simulating resins mimic X-ray attenuation
properties of human tissue from 50 keV to 25 MeV.  The phantom is
advancement over the previously released M606 Dental Head phantom, which is
no longer available.

The CIRS Dental and Diagnostic Head Phantom is ideal for determining optimum
system settings, commissioning new equipment, monitoring system performance
and training in dental X-ray, panoramic X-ray, CT and cone beam CT
procedures.
