CIRS receives 2012 EVMS Bioscience Innovation Award

Norfolk, Virginia (June 11, 2012) CIRS was recently honored as the recipient of the 2012 Bioscience Innovation Award sponsored by Eastern Virginia Medical School. CIRS was recognized for the company’s ongoing commitment to improving the art and science of medical imaging and radiation therapy by designing and manufacturing phantoms for diagnostic imaging, dosimetry and training applications.

The award was presented on May 3, 2012 during Tech Nite 2012 held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Moustafa Zerhouni, Vice President of Engineering, Research and Development accepted the award.

Tech Nite is an annual recognition event for high-tech companies, individuals, entrepreneurs, and innovations of the Hampton Roads region. It is organized by Technology Hampton Roads (THR), a member-based association of technology organizations and technology resource companies within the southeastern region of Virginia.
