April 15, 2014 (Norfolk, Va.) CIRS was pleased to attend the AIUM Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada March 29 thru April 2, where they exhibited some of their most popular products for quality assurance and training and demonstration.
Quality Assurance Products
Among the quality assurance products CIRS displayed were the Multi-Purpose, Multi-Tissue Ultrasound Phantom and two new phantoms for ACR accreditation—the Accreditation Phantom for Image Uniformity and Accreditation Phantom for Geometric Accuracy. The accreditation phantoms were designed to provide low-cost, simple tools to comply with the new ACR accreditation requirements.
CIRS also provided live demonstrations for ultrasound quality assurance software, UltraiQ, which objectively assesses system performance by analyzing phantom images.
Training and Demonstration Products
The Ultrasound Visualization Training Phantom garnered significant attention for its transducer manipulation and knobology training applications. Other products constructed from Z-SkinTM and Zerdine®, such as the Multi-Modality Breast Biopsy and Sonographic Trainer and the Triple-Modality 3D Abdominal Phantom, were displayed to demonstrate minimal needle tracking following biopsy.
